PEX Expansion Fittings

PEX cold expansion fittings are made to the ASTM F1960 standard. They are intended for use in – Residential and commercial potable water distribution systems & Sealed central heating, including under-floor-heating systems.

When choosing PEX fittings, you can consider factors like:

1. Connection type: compression, expansion, or crimp.

2. Fitting type: straight coupler, elbow, tee, etc.

3. Male or female.

4. Size: PEX pipe tends to measure 10 to 25 mm.

You can flare the tubing and rings using an expansion tool before inserting the fitting into the pipe. The memory of the pipe and ring return to their original size, creating a strong leak-free connection. Expansion style fittings can only be used with PEX-A tubing. They are not compatible with other PEX tubing types
